puro—qāṣ | पुरो—क़ाष् | (or -l̤ā/ṣ | -ळा/ष् |, nom. -l̤ā/s | -ळा/स् |), m. a mass of ground rice rounded into a kind of cake (usually divided into pieces, placed on receptacles ; cf. kapāla | कपाल |) and offered as an oblation in fire, RV. &c. &c.
