kf/tvas | क्फ़्/त्वस् | ind. at the end of a numeral or numeral adjective, -fold, times (e.g. daṣa-kftvas | दष-क्फ़्त्वस् |, ten times; bahu-k˚ | बहु-क्˚ |, many times; paẏca-k˚ | पय़्च-क्˚ |, fivefold, Pāṇ. ii, 3, 64). In the Veda kf/tvas | क्फ़्/त्वस् | is used as a separate word (e.g. Bū/ri k˚ | Bऊ/रि क्˚ |, many times, RV. iii, 18, 4; pa/ẏca k˚ | प/य़्च क्˚ |, TS. vi), but according to Pāṇ. v, 4, 17 and 20 (Vop. vii, 70) it is only an affix, and it is so used in classical Sanskṛt
